The essence of the surface

The wall art installation developed for the IZD-tower in Vienna unites the subject of cumulative city architecture with vegetative themes. At first we see a floral network consisting of colorful blossoms and foliage. But the first impression deceives. Beneath the surface lurks the daily routine or reality – in other words the artificial created landscape of skyscraper buildings standing closely side by side. The two visual planes therefore contradict each other, the entanglement of blossoms and leaves and the geometrical placement of the architecture.
