Analysis of silence - Egos, stolen lifes
An Analysis of silence engages with the fragility of the human condition:
Twelve concepts (error ° grief ° treason ° violence ° trauma ° deceit ° repression ° hallucination ° torture ° scorn ° weakness ° hate) are extended with synonyms (sound collage, cf. home page), aiming to find a distinct visual language for the unutterable: a vocabulary of emotions arises.
The patchiness of one’s own self is inquired into, one’s attitude is reflected upon, and one’s connexion to the ever-changing surroundings is scrutinised. The struggle for safety and a feeling of belonging is brought into focus.
The impact of having to live without orienting narratives is put under scrutiny — narratives that allowed us the belief, once upon a time, that we as a society (and as individuals) knew the way.
As we look for certainty in our doings, we encounter our egos, stolen lifes (vanished female octopus ° Artificial Intelligence ° Peacock ° Swiss woman); entities who chose to walk a supposedly easier path in life and thus become the identities of our yearnings.
